What's new

Lyles

Lyles and his agent need to agree for Trey to spend some time in the D league to get his act together.

Confidence comes through preparation.

What is the difference between Gordon Hayward and Trey Lyles? They have the same athletic abilities. I don't think Trey is preparing as well as Hayward has.

Here is a video of Hayward as a rookie. Look at the fire he has on the court, even though it was immature physically.

Hayward was given consistent minutes. And confidence from the coaching staff. Hayward played 3 significant college seasons. Lyles played one season off the bench.

Patience guys. Patience.

Even with that stat line I would still rather see him on the floor than Diaw. I can't even explain why other than the eye ball test.
I feel the same way. And I even think diaw looks better at the eyeball test.

Trey's confidence is completely shot right now. I don't think he believes he's able to hit anything out there. I still think he'll be a solid player, but man is he going through a rough stretch.

I agree completely. We've seen what he can do when he's confident. We've seen him produce. The talent is there. He's just in a brutal slump this year and it's hurt his confidence. I have faith he can come out of it though. We just have to have patience.

Trey has no passion of the floor. He plays like he is half asleep. He needs to start drinking Diaw coffee or start taking adderall or something.

I am so done with his game. He is so frustrating. I love his skills but he just doesn't seem to be into the game right now.

Maybe he'll show more passion in the D-League?

Look at Bobby Portis dominate the Warriors. That's who we should have picked if we were going for a PF.

Lyles is unplayable right now. He ruins both sides of the floor. No idea what is going on but it's deeply troubling.

I think he is the biggest disappointment I have this year. Injuries have been deflating but those things happen. There is no reason trey shouldn't have taken a step forward and has instead taken 2 steps back.

If he didn't believe he could hit anything he would take a lot less shots than he actually takes. My impression is that he really thinks of himself as a scorer. He's fourth on the team in field goal attempts per minute, with 13.7 at every 36 minutes - behind only Hayward, Hood and Hill -, while having by far the worst true shooting percentage in the team.
