Seriously, what’s the trade off? This is mostly winning and losing money as a zero sum, except for the ghoulish companies that profit off of the not-too-uncommon-scenario of people ruining their lives.

I get that it makes games more fun, it also makes society more volatile and is way too strong an incentive for players etc to engage in and wreck their own product.

Need to at the very least put laws on advertising for it.
 
Don’t feel strongly about banning sports betting (biased in part because it’s legal here and I enjoy the occasional flutter or emotional hedge).

It’s going to happen regardless, my perspective on those things generally is you may as well tax it, regulate it, and create a legitimate economy around it.

My bigger question is how in the hell did Chauncey get linked up with the Italian Mob? Come on bro.
 
First post was legitimately a video of press conference regarding FBI betting fraud sting. Then posted a single X post alleging Russell was involved. Then like a dozen posts after that about how it's fake. Ok, that post on X was fake. You guys need to get a grip, the first one who posted it was fake cleared it up. Everyone feel good for piling on? Does it lessen the issue posed by the first post? Y'all a bunch of ****wits.

That's the problem with incorrect info. Sometime people don't read everything and still think the fake information is real. Thus people are often replying to people who seem to have not seen that the misinformation was misinformation. I don't think I'd say it's piling on.

But, yeah, the issue you initially posted is indeed a big deal.
