Mitchell needs to start

Mitchell is just one of those intangible guys. He makes the plays that maybe don't have stats. And his effect on the crowd is massive too.

Small sample size and all that but the last two games Mitchell is 12-24 and 5-10 from 3. If he can continue to increase his %s...

I think Mitchell should start...whenever Hood has gastric distress or sore ankle. DM is ready to be a part-time starter.

I think his best role is off the bench (for now) - but I have no problem with him finishing games if he continues to develop his offense, hustles and plays defense. I just think that it’s in the Jazz long-term interests to have Hood become the team’s consistent go-to scorer. When he’s hot, he brings things that DM and Exum simply don’t with his shot being so damn smooth.

After watching DM I've gotten more bummed out about Exum's injury. The idea of Exum and the idea of DM seems to fit well... especially if you had an Ingles (or rubio) to move the ball and help run an actual offense.

Yeah man I miss exam too. Those Teo would have been fun to watch together.

I'm fine with him coming off the bench. I think his volume shooting approach actually fits well with being the lead option on a second unit.

But I also want to see him 1) finishing games and 2) playing at least 24 mpg.

Mitchell kind of a disaster tonight. Main culprit of leaving JJ Barea open on a lot of his buckets.

I was at the game and the Mavs bigs were turning into the Jazz players on the screens, especially Josh Powell, but they weren't calling it. So, you can't totally blame Mitchell.

Yet twice the refs called offensive fouls on Rudy, one where he simply had his arms folded in front on his chest and another where he didn't even move but the Mavs player pounded into Rudy and bounced off him.

Mitchell might become a good PG but thats not his position now and maybe not in the future either.

Totally disagree. He has great handles and can guard any PG as well or better than Rubio. He also can penetrate as well or better than anyone on the Jazz and has shown he can dish. Yes, sometimes he forces things, but he will improve on that as well as his ability to run the offense for which he needs more experience. I've been at the last two Jazz games and my belief in his abilities has only grown as a result of seeing things in person more clearly than on TV.

I believe in him quite a bit. I just believe in him as a SG. I would not call his handles great yet. He does not do a great job of setting up an offense. I think he might be able to one day but not yet. He could become a PG but he is not. I think he will be a better player at SG but he can play both, he is just much weaker at PG right now.

Having been to a few home games as well this season I can say that it does not change my opinion at all or help to see them in person. It is much easier to see things when watching at home in HD with a remote and replay.I go to the games because the environment is fun, not because I get a better view of players. Even courtside its hard to see everything happening.
