My Yanks fan dad loves you on your pick, all season.

The Yanks game last night was excellent. Wish I could watch the last couple. Wish Rockies had a pitching staff this season.

Yankees have runners at 2nd and 3rd with 1 out in the bottom of the eighth and A-Rod comes up. Not only do they not walk him to create a force at any base, they pitch to him. Not only do they pitch to him, they pitch up in the strike zone on every pitch. instead of pitching low in the strike zone, trying to get a ground ball. A-Rod of course strikes out swinging.

A-Rod has always sucked in the playoffs; but this year he sucked coming into the playoffs as well. Girardi got major props for pinch hitting for A-Rod on Wednesday - nonsense. I'd say anything short of flat out benching him is a failure on the manager's part.
 
If there's any sense of karma or balance in this world the Yankees will lose and go into a 20yr tailspin, like the last time these two teams met in the playoffs and the O's lost (thanks to the fan reaching into the field and the ump calling it a HR).
However even if that does not happen as an O's fan I'm extremely pleased with this season and the outlook finally looks like... well actually having one, future looks pretty good (for now).

The Yankees won that series in 5 games - including a sweep in Baltimore.

You're not seriously suggesting that one play cost them the entire series?
 
If it's a Yankees/Giants World Series, go ahead and shoot me. That would be like a Lakers/Heat Finals or Patriots/49ers Super Bowl. All my hate in one game with nobody to cheer against. I couldn't deal with that. It would be my Black Hole of Hate.

Dodgers didn't make it so piss on them all and I won't even follow it online. Bleh...
