Mo on Marvin

yeah, the only problem is his better numbers have come as a starter. Off the bench he's been horrendous (look at last year).

I think it would take a very talented coaching staff to consistently put Foye in a position to be successful night after night.

If Foye starts at the 2 and Hayward at the 3 I don't think that would be a bad thing. Burks can still get good minutes as the back up 2 an Marvin played off the bench almost all of last year. Just as long as Burks doesn't get shut out of about 20-23 min a game I don't care who starts

Foye under no realistic circumstance (that doesn't include several injuries) should start.

We have been below average for some time at SF, so Marvin should be a big upgrade, even if he isn't near Lebron-like. We are so loaded at SG, I have to wonder (don't like it though!) if they'd trade Burks if the right deal came along. He just looks like he wants to a star, taking mucho shots, a la CJ. Thing is, he's also more talented than CJ...

Is this the first time that people have concidered the possibility that Marvin might start? Ask yourself: Which Jazz players are more talented at the 3 than Marvin? Hayward? We all like Hayward, but I'm not sure that he's more talented than Marvin. Millsap? Starting him at the 3 is something to keep him on the floor, not because he is good at the spot. Evans? Um, no. I'm running out of players here, I would bet a moderate amount of money that not only will Marvin start at the 3, but that it is actually the right decision.

Of course that means that some other players won't be getting as much time, namely young players, but Marvin isn't a grandpa or anything, he has at least another five years of peak performance in him, so that's fine. My opinion is that Foye is the odd man out here. If Hayward plays the 2 that either takes Burks' minutes or makes him a 1 both of which makes time for Foye minimal and almost eliminates Tinsley and Watson.

I always thought Marvin would be the starter. Foye being a vet and a good shooter is what makes me question it. I can see Corbin Starting Foye just because it spaces the floor for Al. So that means ether Hayward of Marv is going to be coming off the bench.

I would much rather it be Hayward at the 2 and Marv at the 3 for sure.

I'm beginning to understand why you're called crack star.
