Basically, you ask your wife where she wants to live so you can ignore her and go somewhere else.
I just thought it was funny they had a segment of what his wife wanted then the next segment he says (paraphrasing) "It doesn't matter where she wants to live, but I feel bad she has to move a lot and basically be a single mom". Just made me lolShe has 23M to wipe the tears away...
Tl;dw. What's the gist?
Hassle of moving, hassle of juggling priorities in FA(money, fit, wife and family, etc.). Clippers didn't even try to get him back... seems like it was between Philly and Houston, he waiting until the end for HOU to offer him long-term deal but they didn't... Wife wanted him to go to BKN... 1st, 2nd and 3d option - BKN, she said. And in the next clip he was like... yah, it sucks wifes are like single moms for 9 months of the year and you want to make it easier on them... but I picked Philly... lol.
Another thing - he confirms that "we will think about free agency after the end of the season" narrative is BS. Said those conversations are being held throughout the year with the agents. I'm listening to his podcast right now and he goes further and confirms that the back channel conversations with other teams happen before FA actually starts.

Spotrac is a good site for contract info.
A lot of the mid-tier vet contracts are 1+1's - not just for the Jazz. Depending on what happens with Favs, Hood, Exum (and Burks), the development of Bradley, etc., some or all of the FA's might be let go next summer.

I like it up until he sropped the f bombs. That is classless
How is that a barometer of "class"?

Something to consider when it comes to who the Jazz cut - Bolomboy is a Mark Bartelstein client. The Jazz might be done doing him any favors.
Plus I think the agent has probably already received his commission when bolomboy signed with the jazz so if the jazz cut bolomboy then it wouldn't affect the agent anyway I think. He has been around as an agent for years. He is the CEO of Priority Sports. I doubt the Jazz are going to let one player handling things poorly ruin a long standing professional relationship with an entire firm. Especially one that they will most likely want to be on good terms with for future free agencies.
Why do people always use barometer? Why not say "How is that a thermometer of class", or ruler, clock, fuel gauge?
I think that using barometer puts too much pressure on people.
Agents get a percentage cut of salary. If Bolomboy makes less money, his agent makes less money.Plus I think the agent has probably already received his commission when bolomboy signed with the jazz so if the jazz cut bolomboy then it wouldn't affect the agent anyway I think.
