Where do you get your news sources from?

I'm looking for an unbiased (as much as possible) news source. Currently I am checking Reuters, Associated Press, BBC, Reddit, and Vice News on HBO, I'm aware a couple of those are very biased. TIA

I read Aljazeera both in English and Arabic. I also check out NYT and WaPo and other major publications now and again. And I listen to NPR.

I also like news with a perspective, and I read The Unz Review on the right, and The Nation on the left.

I tend to try and spread my source materiel as much as I can. The Atlantic, Der Speigel, BBC, Guardian, USA Today, CNN, Fox, RT, Wash Post, NY Times, Time, NPR, WSJ, Al Jazeera.

I really like the site Realclear as it compiles articles everyday from all these sources and more for me. It is split into 16 major categories and each category has its own articles posted daily from a numerous amount of sources.

Reason I do this is I am skeptical to one degree or another of all news sources so I try to get different sides and view points.

Google.news.com can be a pretty fair compendium from all over. Just don't sign into google, and regularly clear your history or it'll start pandering to "your tastes"

I normally read The Guardian and The Age (local paper) and i also used to read the Communist Party of Australia's weekly rag also called The Guardian but its quality has declined steeply in the last 15 years, it used to be a fairly well written academic driven Marxist weekly, it now reads like its been written by an undergraduate law student on amphetamines.

Mostly listen to NPR to and from work. Google around on things I find interesting, hitting lots of different sources. Generally read through the yahoo news feed which isn't too bad. I am not tied to really any one source as the end all be all. NPR is just convenient and I find it to be fairly balanced and open and honest. It is probably my favorite. Plus science friday is the bomb.com

Thanks for the responses. It's not worth starting a new thread, but if you want to toss me a recommendation on documentaries or podcasts I'm missing out on I'd appreciate it.

Also like Boris (in his own way) put it. I like to get some info/news from JazzFanz. I think this site has a unique discourse that makes it a bit special. So thanks to those who post their opinions. (Even if some of them are stupid as hell)

Hardcore History is the best podcast ever. I am addicted to it.

I gave up on CNN, MSNBC and Fox News long ago, The New York Times, Huffington Post and Washington Post more recently. Generally, PBS news programming is more sober and fair-minded than the punditry and mudslinging that passes for news these days, but I rarely have the patience to watch it.

I look up topics and headlines on Youtube and look at different sources depending on the subject, basically to triangulate on a few facts here and there.

Yeah that seems to be the trend these days. You have to check out multiple sources, take it with a grain of salt, and make your own opinion.

I guess that's the way it's always been, but for some reason it just seems crazier today than it's ever been. Probably a sign I'm getting older.
