NFL Survival Pool

So Glass will advance, and Chad is on the rocks though the Ravens certainly can win the game (and aren't even losing now, just tied). Which means we actually have a damn week where there is a bit of drama.

Darn, I was celebrating my championship a bit too early...kind of like Texas. Congrats to Chad on the comeback win for the Ravens. I took the easier route with Tennessee over Indy. ON TO NEXT WEEK!

And a nice comeback win for your NY Giants, Nate, over the Fins. Not pretty, but a W is a W.

After the first 3 weeks, I shuffled my games to pick AGAINST KC a few times. Glad I've chosen other matchups instead. KC has turned into SD...slow start, but coming on strong. I'm still too scared to ever pick the 49'ers. I don't know how that team keeps giving up a ton of passing yards every game, but still manages to win. I guess when the QB doesn't throw interceptions or fumble the ball away, you always have a chance. Smith is playing like Dilfer did back in 2000. I just can't believe I've somehow managed to pick around all the upsets. There have been some big ones thus far.

Two pretty obvious choices this weekend:
Atlanta at Indianapolis, or
Houston over Cleveland

I'm going wiith Houston since I never like to pick against a home team. But it looks like Ace/Chad has already used up the Texans, so I'll be pulling for a big upset in Indianapolis (if that's the way he picks).

Congrats to Glasseater.
Wow, your pick surprised me. I know New England is darn near unbeatable at home, but the spread was pretty thin against New York. Love 'em or hate 'em, the Giants played a big part in the pool this year. That loss to Seattle eliminated 5 in Week #5 and their win today handed me bragging rights. And I ALMOST in Week #1 when the Chargers had to rally late to beat Minnesota. And then again in Week #3 when Pittsburgh barely made it past Indianapolis. Crazy season!

And props to my 9'ers. Another win today. Whatever you say about Smith, he's still >>>> Beck. More I watch, the more this is looking like the Ravens of 10 years ago. Strong run defense, good running attack, and a weak QB, but one who is managing the game without making costly TO's. Smith is looking more and more like a poor man's Trent Dilfer. And I mean that in a good way. SF doesn't have the horses to make it past GB, but with their defense, maybe they can make it to the NFC championship game. Quite a turnaround!

Congrats Glass! Rep him bitches!!

Well done too Chad, though I always root for the Pats to lose so I was happy to see it happen, haha. Though on a more depressing note all one had to do was pick the Colts' opponents and they'd still be in it.

Yeah it was a gamble taking New England. You win some and you lose some.

Well, I'm going to keep playing and see how long I can stay perfect. Here are the rest of my picks (barring significant injuries). I also might adjust the last couple of weeks depending on playoff scenarios. Have to say the most surprising teams thus far have been Cincinatti and San Francisco. Most disappointing is Phildadelphia.

So if you picked Green Bay it looks like you'll survive another week. Well done.

I'm going to unsticky it since you've won, that being said give him rep if you haven't fellow losers, and feel free to bump this up for every additional successful week or the first time you pick wrong.

Yes, man up and give me my proper rep all you losers. Just kidding, with all the upsets I was extremely lucky to survive. I had a couple of close calls. And I gotta give a shout out to my nextest favorite team, the NY Giants. They did the job for me in Week #2, eliminated a ton of people with their loss to Seattle, and then lost to my 49'ers after talking trash the whole week. Good job, Gnats. I'm going to try to keep it going, but I'm modifying my picks a bit due to injuries. I can't see KC winning any games with Palko. And I'll take Detroit out of the mix now that Stafford has a broken finger. He looked awful against Chicago.

Switching my pick to New England over KC this week.

Bump.
Went with NE over KC today so an easy win.

Picking Cincinatti over Cleveland this week so I can move out of the Buffalo/Miami pick I had tentatively put in for Dec 18. Miami D is playing great and Buffalo is sliding. Think I'll stay away from that one.
