Night Sweats

I'm betting it's from stopping weed. Are you having weird dreams too?

It could be the creatine too.

If it keeps happening, you probably want to go to a doctor because night sweats can be a sign of a serious health issue

I've quit weed 3 times, one of those I had severe addiction withdrawals. Funny because it didn't happen other two times. These withdrawal side effects included nightsweats, little sleep, loss of appetite, headaches, and bad mood swings. Took 13 days to get over it completely. Good luck

Its the drinking.

People want defend and defend drinking. But the truth is it absolutely terrible for you even in small amounts. Im guessing you down played the amount you drink too. Quit drink any alchohol and after a few months the night sweats will go away. Your body has to purge the left over toxins and heal your brain. So you are going to sweat it out til its done.

Its not the weed.

Based on everything you said about yourself should indicate a healthy person. Other than the drinking. Or you can choose to believe the addicts instead. If you go to the doctor and they give you a drug for it then youve made another mistake and will just give yourself more problems.

Good luck with the struggle of giving alchohol up. Its not easy. It only gets harder the older you get and the problems just get worse. You really are in denial if you reject this message. The days of doing whatever you want to your body and getting away with it are slowly coming to a close. This is one of the first signs.
I agree and I quit alcohol. Again.

Ok, so the last 4 nights Ive been waking up with night sweats. Its gotten to a point where its starting to worry me. Ive had them before but its always been an isolated incident related to environment (room got too hot) or sickness. This latest night might be environmental because Im currently sleeping on a relatives couch for Thanksgiving.

Im in really good shape. Im 6'3 and 195 lbs. Im guessing Im between 12% to 15% body fat. I lift, do cardio, or play basketball 5 days a week. I definitely sweat more than the average person, especially at the gym.

Diet wise I eat very healthy. Probably between 2K to 2.5K calories a day. Eat mostly raw foods (vegetables, fruits nuts). Usually eat eggs in the morning. I might eat meat for 5 meals a week. Will eat fish semi regularly (every other day, anything from simple canned tuna to fresh caught fish). Will eat out once a week for something resembling a "cheat meal". I drink a post workout whey protein shake. I rarely drink. Maybe drink heavily (more than 3 drinks) to the point of being "drunk" twice a month at most. Will buy a 6 pack once or twice a month to drink a beer here and there on the random night.

As far as recent changes to lifestyle go, there are some things that have happened.
  • Monday I started taking creatine and bcaas as part of my pre workout routine (last took Wednesday, am stopping for a week and will resume to test if these things are linked)
  • Monday I started working out after work instead of before work ( so Im getting in the gym at 5:30 and leaving around 730 or 800)
  • I havent smoked weed since Sunday, which Ive been using to self medicate as a sleep and anxiety aide (reason being I want to save some money to buy Christmas presents).
  • I do generally experience heightened anxiety levels around the holiday season.
Anyways, just wanted to see if JazzfanzMD had any similar experiences. I will probably see a doctor if this continues for another week. Until thing Im trying to isolate things too see if I can find a simple explanation.

Not the booze
Not the weed

My guess is anxiety. You have anxiety you need to talk to your doctor bro.

Interesting.

I struggle to believe its the weed for me. Typically I go a month or two on, then a week off with no side effects other than having a harder time falling asleep (and just marginally).

It might be a contributing factor though, but its certainly not the main reason.
