Mirotic wants to play for Snyder and the Jazz so his no-trade clause is only good news.. Jazz could turn into a dangerous team with Mirotic starting alongside Gobert.
I'm not sure if he can help long-term though.
We need a third star who can score. Everyone not named RG and DM is expendable for that cause. In theory we can afford to be patient, in fact we perhaps should while GSW is dominating the league but I'm guessing Millers are not happy with losses piling up. So DL might feel like making a move now. And that's OK unless he surrenders another pick.
We can't be patient at all. It's very possible that Gobert has already peaked and is heading into veteran maintenance mode. I hope that's wrong, but given that it might be true, the time to build a contender is now, or the time to tank is now. There's no winning strategy worth pursuing in between those two options outside of hoping to get unworldly lucky in the draft.
