For all those haters of the trade out there, think about this; Jazz got rid of an attitude problem for the 3rd pick in the 2010 draft (Favors), a former all-star point guard, more cash, a deeper bench, and draft picks for the future! I say great deal!

The Jazz just got more got more chips to do trades with now, with 2 extra draft picks and with Favors, Millsap and Jefferson at power forward. Put anyone of the 3 power forwards with one of the draft picks and you should be able to get a good/great shooting guard, which the Jazz desperately need. I would keep the size and trade Millsap., with Millsap you might not need to include a draft pick.

Keep the Nets pick for the coming draft and get a defensive center. Bring Ante Tomic over next season and you have the draft pick center, Tomic and Fes (if we resign him) to man the center position. You have Jefferson and Favors at power forward. We complain constantly about not having the size to match up against the Lakers, and now we would have the size, with a 7 ft. 2 in. center in Tomic, the drafted center and Fes to go along with two 6 ft. 10 in. power forwards (Favors has a 7 ft. 3 in wing span).

With the new shooting guard we trade for with Millsap, our 2 rookies this year developing and all these new bigs, we should be in good shape to compete next year for the division title. And as the team learns to play with each other over the next 2 or 3 years, in my opinion, a top 3 team in the West capable of competing for a championship in the future. So the heck with the doom and gloom bunch on here, I like the direction we are heading. Ok hit me with your best shot.

Add to this, going back to last off-season, we were very lucky Chicago gave us a trade exception for Boozer, although I've read we actually gave them a round 2 pick for the exception. Without that, no Big Al in Utah either...
Sounds like the Crymelo saga was a huge influence on the Jazz brass decision to trade DWill now and at least get something in return. This was a move they needed to make. Favors seems to have the physical tools to be a star in the NBA, and at 19, has plenty of time to develop mentally and physically. Favors, Jefferson, and Millsap give us a solid interior rotation for the future. This also covers us in the event Memo doesn't return to form.
And Devon Harris, Earl Watson, and Ronnie Price will all push the ball hard from the point, and play that pesky D. We'll likely struggle the rest of the year, but in a year or two when the youthful Hayward and Evans mature, we could be a very good ballclub again sooner than later.
With all those lottery picks, we don't need to make ay more trades this year, although we certainly could. Could AK still end up in Jersey? You betcha...
