Well for a fracture in his finger I would hope not!
What type of fracture was it? Certain types often do require surgery.

That is correct. Burke had surgery in 2013 for a break and was slated to miss 8-12 weeks. He only ended up missing around 4-5 weeks.

He has some kind of flexible cast, as well, that promotes healing. I read one commentator say he could be back by opening day, though that's probably optimistic, but then you never know with the Jazz, they are so secretive about injuries. There hasn't been any word of when Alec will be back either, though he's supposedly healed.
