OFFICIAL Postseason race thread *Sticky*

We're officially tied for the 1 seed in the West right now, by the way.

**** yeah!

Warriors looked great last night and the Pelicans won't be a threat if they aren't healthy. If New Orleans is without Evans, Holiday, Asik, Babbitt, etc. for a long time, that's one less team the Jazz will have to battle with.

Ouch that loss really knocked us back but the good news is we are in a 7 way tie for the 8th seed in the west right now.

Do ya'll want me to sticky this thread already and up date it a couple times a week?

Some big games tonight:

Jazz @ Pacers
Warriors @ Pelicans
Nets @ Grizz
Suns @ Blazers
Kings @ Clips

I bolded the teams I want to win.

Guess not.

Also Jazz are now 2-1 and the Pelicans are losing again.

Jazz 2-1
Pelicans 0-3

Jazz now have a 2 game lead on the Pelicans for the playoffs.

It might be a bit early to sticky it. If we're still doing well a month from now, then do it. :)

As awful as Booner is these days, he did nail it when he said these are the games the Jazz must win to be in the playoff race. The Jazz can't afford to lose to bottom feeders from the Eastern Conference. Especially since the schedule is so hard the first few months of the season, the Jazz need every win they can get.

It's amazing to see the product of a legit NBA head coach instilling excellent defensive principles and the team buying in. There is definitely something special brewing because the Jazz still aren't quite clicking offensively. There have been spurts the last two games, but once Hayward gets on track I think the Jazz can start to roll.

As it stands now, the Pelicans look awful and in desperate need of Tyreke Evans to return.

I didn't anticipate Minnesota being in the hunt for the final couple playoff spots, but Rubio looks transformed and excellent - and Towns is already a factor. I'm almost ready to say they will also be in the mix with the Jazz, Suns, Mavs, Pelicans and (maybe) the Blazers.

I will compromise for now. I will update and bump this post regularly and then sticky it when we are closer.

Is this sarcasm? Legit question, I can't tell. Either way I still have the Rockets pegged to finish with one of the top 6 seeds in the West.

Nope it isn't. They are a playoff team but I dislike that team and its fan base almost as much as the Lakers.

I take joy in their suffering.
