Stoked is dogmatic. The State must be an unwaivering war machine for the good. What's "good" is never in doubt.

Not being dramatic here: that's the basic outline of fascism.

You are just so full of ******** and notions of intellectual superiority that it is funny.

@ stoked

What is the US gov doing (if anything) that you disapprove of?

Having weed be illegal
Not having federal approval of gay marriage or be in marriage at all for that matter
Iraq
Syria
War on drugs
19 to smoke, 21 to drink but 18 to vote and join the military?
Congress
Mandatory health insurance
Foreign aid
Politicizing education

Need I go on? This is not some ground breaking territory. I have discussed at length gay marriage, marijuana, education. foreign aid and others on this very forum.

I gave an accurate analysis of how you have viewed State power in this thread (and others). You can dodge this accuracy by slandering me, but it'll be just that -- a dodge.

Not it isnt. It is me mocking a false potrayal of my overall stance by you. State government, like federal, has its time and place. It is not the end all be all.

What am I wrong about?

For years now I've tried to get him to see this. He doesn't/won't.

I've only been here 20 months...

Are those things established as illegal by our society? No. So that arguement does not hold water.

So it's a legality argument? So should they be able to pay for a speeding ticket with their money? I don't want them paying the consequences of their illegal activity with tax money. How about gambling? Should Utah residents be able to gamble with their money if they drive to Wendover? Gambling is illegal in Utah.

I'd love to see the questionnaire they used to decide who was high risk.
