Agreed. It might work out but I don't know ... it feels like every time you're banking on another team to do something, it never happens.

I get the Jazz still control their own destiny but these games against bad teams, or depleted teams, that you lose makes relying on Phoenix to drop a few more games all the more likely.
 
I think people freak out wayyyy too much about a few minutes here and there when it comes to resting players. I'm not even sure that Quin leaves his players in during blowouts more than other teams but I see that complaint over and over. The losing team is waves the white flag first, that's as old as time. If I'm being honest, I think it's really just fans wanting to see the young guys which is also as old as time. The real reason why people whine so much about this stuff is because they want to see Elijah Hughes play or whatever.

Nobody on the this tame plays huge minutes. I don't think it's a big deal that someone plays a few more minutes every now and then. I don't think it's a big deal that the starters stay in for a minute or two when the game is in hand. Likewise, I don't think it's a big deal that Quin played his players bigger minutes in a game that had OT.

When it comes to rest, the more impactful decision is whether the player suits up or not. 5-10 minutes on any given night isn't going to make a difference, but getting the chance to completely rest your body for the day will. I personally would have liked to see Bogey, Ingles, O'Neale, Clarkson ect all sit....but if they had pulled that win off I'd also probably be saying it was worth it for them to play. I am hopeful that we see some consistent full rest days for the rotation players...which says a lot about the sad state of the regular season but that's a different discussion.

People are always nickel and diming Quin/FO office for the wrong things IMO.

I also think since it was on ESPN they might not have been real happy with is sitting Joe and JC on top of all the other guys being out.

The middle of the road approach is a little curious but when Rudy’s crystal speaks we have to listen I guess.

that's no problem PHX are about to lose a good handful of games
 
Looks more to me like we need some "injuries" like the Lakers always use. Let's get the #4 seed, let the Nuggets knock out PHX, and save it all for the Lakers.

Some coaches really know how this works.

4 &5 seed positions look meaningless, almost. Lakers don't need to "move up" for anything.. It is a bit hard on the tickets sales to be away, but LA is still gonna be rationing seats anyway.

Sorry, I'm being really sarcastic in here tonight. Look at all our wounded warriors right now. Gotta wonder what's goin' down.

Gotta wonder who's better at throwin' games, us or the Lakers. I'm betting on the Lakers to win the loss.

Good point. We'll see.

(edit) I had actually heard about the Murray injury, but I had to look at the current news to see what the status is. The news makes it out as almost irreplaceable loss for Denver. But their guys and some of their rising stars look impressive too.

Denver was making a run on everybody when this happened. I think they are still pretty good. It won't be a Laker's blowout series, or a Phoenix blowout. They will play, and it's about 20% they win the first round.
