Our schedule--12 of next 14 at home

We have to start games stronger, minimize the brainfarts, and come out of these 14 no worse than 9-5 imo. I'd say 10-4 or 11-3 but I say just 9-5 because our home games include OKC, San Antonio, the Lakers, New Orleans, Miami, Orlando, and Dallas, so um, yeah, some tough opponents, some of whom will be looking for revenge.

9-5 to pull to 16-8 is solid though personally, we should come out of it more like 17-7 or 18-6 imo.

Side note: I gotta wonder how much of our hot start stems from the Hornets starting 8-0. We know Deron and Chris are competitive as hell and I wonder how much they're pushing each other right now.

I thought it would take us 10-20 games to get the chemistry down with all the new players, so to be 7-3 the first ten games is incredible imo considering the schedule. Now we have to take advantage and run off a big streak with all these home games.

I'm not quite sure The Jazz have their chemistry down yet.

At this level it's mostly about confidence. I think after The Jazz are essentially on a 5 day high after beating the most hyped team in the history of professional basketball on the road after being down by 21 points. The problem with highs is that it can all come crashing down at any moment - if DW misses that shot last night or if Stephen Jackson somehow hit that desparation heave, that could put this team in a tailspin.

You are probably right on this, but neither happened. So the Jazz need to use this game-winner momentum, win against OKC, and take it one game at a time.

It's hard to agree with your first point about chemistry. They may not be 100% and on the same page yet, but you have to admit that they are playing infinitely better as a team than they were in the first few games of the season when they looked lost and confused against Denver and PHX.

What? They still would've finished the road trip at 3-1 and it was their 4th game in 5 nights. The road trip had already been a monumental success regardless of what could've happened last night. A 3-1 trip would've had this team riding high.

You guys are missing my point - confidence is a crazy thing. I think we can all agree Jazz are winning some games right now (especially on the road) that historically they lose. That's because they feel they can come back on anyone. And that feeling is based on an usual set of circumstances - namely (and among other things) Paul Millsap scoring 11 points in 28 seconds. The confidence that can be gained in one game can be lost in another game.

Look I hope it never happens and The Jazz finish the season 79-3; but right now this team is playing awful basketball and times, great at others and constantly living on the edge.

I think this stretch of games will show if the Jazz are still a dominant home team with this group of guys. Not a lot of easy ones there...
