Pau Gasol as a FA?

The thunder lost to the kings last night. They should add harden to play behind durant and get chris paul to back up westbrook, then they might be good enough to beat the kings.

You and Cunning Linguist must be huffing the same glue this morning.... while worrying about the stupid bets you placed.

You don't think the thunder should get harden to back up durant and cp3 to back up westbrook?
Why not? They would be so good bro.

Still comfortable with our team as is? We cant even beat a team of scrubs.

I don't believe in granting anyone automatic playing time. Let them ****ing earn it. If Favs and Rudy don't bring it, bench their sorry asses.

It's comical how some of you worry about playing time. Ever heard of injuries? Every team has them. If we had had another wing worth ****, Utah might be sitting in 5th right now. And the same thing with another big to play when Favors or Gobert go down.

When everyone is healthy, you just cut back on mins, or rest a player on the second night of a back- to-back. Look at the better teams: they all have depth. Utah has **** - all because DL is a cheap *** who wanted to keep Utah with the 28th payroll...again!

So, you don't belive in player development?

Who knows where Burks and Favors would have been without having to contend with such a clogged rotation.

Even w/ Enes' defensive shortcomings, we could've netted a lot more than nothing for him had we played, developed, and showcased him. A short blip of PT on the Thunder last year earned him a max, defensive deficiencies and all.

Playing time for young players is crucial.

Pau is on a loaded team now, and they aren't very good.

Good point
In fact I would say the jazz are better than the bulls despite the fact that they appear to have more talent on paper

Ever heard of healthy? Every team has those, too.

!

To be fair, GSW couldn't beat the Laker scrubs. Nights like that happen to the best of teams. Not that Utah is near GS in overall talent but that all losses take place in a wider context.

Lyles was drafted to be our Gasol - a big who can stretch the floor and utilize his great court vision to find the open man. If Booker doesn't return he'll be replaced... aside from that we're set at the four and five.

This.
People think that we should have 5 starting caliber bigs, 4 starting caliber wings, and 3 starting caliber point guards or something.

Like that is what all the other teams are doing and it's super easy to do.

Nope. I think we need 4 bigs, 4 wings and two PG's. Most teams have at least a 9-man rotation.

Bigs: Gobert, Favors, Lyles and ??? (I don't see us re-signing Booker). I know, some of you are going to argue we have Super Withey to save the day or maybe his sidekick, T-boom Pleiss, who just needs some time in the development tank.

Wings: Hayward, Hood, Burks. (I consider CJ and Ingles fillers, not legit rotation guys). And, we should be developing someone in case Hayward leaves.

PG's: Exum + ???. Can upgrade over Mack and Neto. Mack is a team option and then a FA. Neto has been "meh." Sure, he's an NBA rookie, but he's had a few years in Europe, so upside might be limited.

Ingles and withey are as good as plenty of teams 4th big and 4th wing though aren't they?

How many teams have a pau gasol type player as their 4th big?
