Rudy Gobert's season in a nutshell:

- Lead the league in blocks
- Lead the league in blocks per game
- Lead the league in block percentage
- Lead the league in true shooting percentage
- Lead the league in defensive win shares
- 58 double-doubles (5th in the league)
- First player ever to finish in the top-3 of both offensive and defensive rating (he was top-2 in both!!!)
- All-NBA 2nd Team
- NBA All-Defensive 1st team

Not to mention he just barely turned 25 a few days ago.

Different take, Gobert extended easily without all the fluff about wanting to test the market. He not only likes it here, but stands up for the market and even tries to draw others here. My Jazz fandom is different than many fans: I want players that want to be here, and if Hayward doesn't want to be here; to do the best he can here regardless of the eventual outcome, than he can go away. This market is different, but it's awesome in it's own different way. Sad as it is, i doubt that we ever get the championship, but at least we won't sell our souls to get there.

Why won't we ever win a championship? Because we are the quintessential development team. What is our pitch? We have awesome training facilitates and coaches. We will make you better. So what do they do? They come here, they get better and they feel all good about themselves and then they leave to play for a team full of other players that are good to. We are a stepping stone. Because we develop players, we never have the quality of team 'right now' that can win, so a player will always leave when he is ready. We are literally a basketball prep school.

I was borderline, didn't expect those results though woah

This is more about who you could not give up. Is there another Rudy? If you can trade him to a healthy Embiid, sure. But that is just a dream. As much as I love Hayward, he is not the game changer Rudy is imo. I'm not scared of losing him. Wouldn't make the same level of damage losing Gobert would do.

Jazz were -6.9 points per 100 possessions when Hayward was on the floor and Gobert was off the floor.

Jazz were +5.5 points per 100 possessions when Hayward was off the floor and Gobert was on the floor.
