Prediction thread: by end of season, what will our three best 5-man combos be?

We need some prediction threads now that the season is upon us. @silesian says he’s doing his usual contest, so I thought I’d add this to the mix

by end of season, what will our three best 5-man combos be?

I’m open to what metric or metrics we will use to determine the winner. Let’s discuss.

We also need to determine a minimum number of minutes played for eligibility.

We can probably get the mods to award a cool *** trophy to the winner.

Selections will have to be submitted before the end of opening night.

I think you should just base it on net rating from the 5 man lineups on NBA.com stats. But you need to have some sort of minimum minutes.

I mentioned minimum minutes.

I’m cool with NBA.com’s net ratings if that’s the consensus.

Last year we had seven units over 80 minutes. I think 80 is a good choice.

I think our best lineup is Mitchell, royce, ingles, bogey and gobert.

Which means we will almost never see that lineup

The lineups will be interesting. Just like the WC predictions, these are hard. I’ll have to think.

Honestly, this would probably be my guess too. Going into last season I thought Conley/Mitchell/Ingles/Bogey/Gobert was going to be our best lineup by far and it actually turned out to be one of our worst.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if you end up seeing a bench lineup like some combo of Conley / Clarkson / Shaq / Ingles / Favors being rated really high because they beat up on other benches and have a good offensive/defensive balance.
