There are scenarios where 40 wins will get us there. But we would almost certainly need to win either this game or Toronto and win the rest. Brooklyn and Miami play each other at the end. We need them both on 39 going into that game. That happens if Brooklyn loses to the Bucks twice, Toronto, and Indiana, and Miami loses to Boston twice, Toronto, and the Sixers (and assuming Miami beats Minnesota). So that scenario is not unimaginable. We could also catch Orlando if they lose to Toronto and Boston (assuming they beat the Knicks and Hawks).
Honestly, us winning the games we need to win feels less likely than the other teams opening the door. I don’t like that feeling.

It makes me so mad that we aren't making the playoffs. We ****ing had it. I think back to those close games we kept on losing OVER and OVER in the first half of the season. Then I think about this massive slump we went on after the All Star break. We should genuinely be 6 or 7 seed easily but we blew it. Didn't take our chances.
Instead we are missing out on the playoffs, going to get a ****** draft pick, middle of the pack again. Stuck in mediocrity.
