Why the **** does a team have to have players who are all the same age? Has a team ever won a championship like that? Most champions are mixes of youth and vets. You need guys who are in their physical primes and guys who are mentally experienced and know how to handle situations and arent as worried about looking like a star to get their first big deal.
 
Jazz in 0 way need to get younger or older. Age should be irrelevant in deciding who they want to add. Get the best players NOW who are athletic and can play D, point blank period.

Lakers
Clippers
Nuggets
Warriors
Rockets
Mavericks
That leaves 2 spots for teams like Jazz,Sun's,Timberwolves,Pelicans, grizzlies, kings.

The west was powerful this year and next year even more and for jazz to compete for a chip in a few years they need young talent. If I'm reading with knicks I'm aiming for Mitchell Robinson. He is young and athletic. Imagine the rim running with Donovan and Him

Lakers are a year older. They are still very good but if the Jazz can add some length and shooting off the bench.
Clippers are older too. Jazz play well against them historically. Again improved bench and Jazz can beat these guys.
Nuggets - come on Jazz blew the series because of their weak beach. They did not have Bogie and were only 1.5 games behind in the standing before the bubble.
Warriors - I agree they will be back and if they get a stud at #2 then they could be tough but not unbeatable. Will Klay Thompson be the same player.
Rockets - are a bad matchup for us but again they looked horrible against the Lakers and there were more infighting with them. They might blow up the team again.
Mavericks- are good but they are not better than the Jazz and if the Jazz improve their bench. I am not afraid of them. I respect their team but I am not afraid of them.
The Jury is still out on the bottom feeders. New Orleans is a team to watch and so is Memphis but both have issues too and haven't proven anything.

The Jazz need to improve their bench. Not slightly but substantially. They need to get more athletic and get Bogey back for his scoring. I think if they can get two solid bench players and improve either the SF/PF starter position, they can compete with anyone.

I wish you actually used your brain.

The idea is based on getting a number of young guys hoping that a couple can emerge as really good players. You know, the same exact thing every team does during the draft?

I dont care if they are all 22 or 25. However, I do worry about a team that relies heavily on 30+ aged players. After next season, that's us without change (Rudy, Conley, Clarkson, Bojan, Joe).

The Lakers are old, but they rely on 27 year old AD and young Kuzma as top 5 rotation guys. Also, LBJ is a freak.

Name a 30 year old one dimensional big man who makes $30+ who a team is grateful to have. Doesnt exist...

Hell, Kevin Love is a dang good player and nobody wants to touch his contract.
DeAndre Jordan went from All Star to irrelevant in a hurry.
Marc Gasol got dumped by Memphis and won't get a big deal again.
Ibaka can shoot the 3, and he wouldn't get $20.
Vucevic had an amazing season last year and still couldn't get $30.
Horford doesn't make $30 and that deal is still awful.

Old, overpaid bigs don't win you titles if relied on to play a major role.

Rudy is one dimensional on defense. He can shut down an area of the court but can't shut down an individual player or defend perimeter players.

Rudy is one dimensional on offense. He can set amazing screens that lead to him finishing lobs. He can't create offense, dribble, post up, etc.

He is at his prime. When he regresses, we will grow to despise Rudy if he makes too much. It happened with AK. It happened with Ostertag. It will happen Jingles next year. Thats why we can't pay Rudy too much. I hate when people hate our legends.

The only way that happens is if we get some borderline all star addition at the wing without sacrificing much to get that player.

Outside of that, Rudy at max+ will keep us from competing for 2nd round more than leading us anywhere close to contending.

But hey, keep pushing your pro-Conley and pro-Rudy agendas. Your lack of creativity never surprises me.

Why for Charlotte: they've been irrelevant for so long so this is impressive by Charlotte. Rozier, Graham, Randle and Rudy puts them in the playoff picture in the East. Maybe they pull off the trade without having to send Monk too. Maybe Utah adds Ed Davis and Bradley and takes back Cody Zeller who is an expiring. Utah could get additional 2nd rounders if they do this.

PJ Wash, Miles Bridges, Monk, Ntilikina, Christian Wood, and a #3 pick do not a playoff contender make. They all have flaws in their games. None of them individually moves the needle. We can pick up similar players in vets who want to compete.

Losing all stars for role players and promising young players doesn't typically make teams relevant for years. OKC did it, but they got gobs of draft picks while taking on everyone else's trash with top tier young players. Gobert and Conley for several promising role players and depth isn't going to cut it. Sorry.

This league is about who has the best players, not who has the most role players. Trading a top 15 player and a top 50 player for 7 top 200 players is a recipe for disaster. You asked for constructive criticism. There ya have it.

That's constructive criticism.
