So how do you think rebuilding in the Post-Sloan, Post-Williams era will go?

Here's one scenario:

Jazz in the lottery for the next five years. Typical, if not optimistic, for many teams.
Jazz strike draft gold in 2016.
Super draftee fully develops in 2021.
Jazz in some playoffs games.
Pick traded in 2023 because owners fear he might leave.
KOC retires later that year after argument with ballboy.

Repeat.

Right for the most part, except that Jazz might not be in the lottery for five years. Thats too long. They are usually finicky about being a "competetive" playoffs team. So except for the years you have, I agree with the points in general.

KOC will dust off his Cliched Response list that he had prepared in 2004, once again. Another Groundhog era begins.
