Pretty sure that's my thread, the one I didn't start yet.
Trout's "quote" probably looks like this:

notes for newbs:
real quotes have a little "arrow" button on the right side of the poster's name which is a link which will "take you there".
Some posters will falsify real quotes, too. . . . . by editing the quote, so to speak. When in doubt follow the arrow. . . . .
just playing the trout game. . . .
editing posts is bad form, sometimes. Sometimes it's necessary, like if you're quoting a line from one of mine and just want to address one issue.

JF forum is a bit neurotic but worthwhile. If you're a newb with any coherence or actual point of view, you will be taken out to the woodshed and pantsed or something, to see if you will really "fit in". And then, if you can take the hazing and return in kind, you'll still have to run the gauntlet of possible suspicions, including the Ain't accusation. Wear it like a badge of honor. Ain't was the all-time genius of JazzFanz, but he lacked discretion about dancing to the music, and got banned. . . . a number of times. He did go through several "lives", maybe as many as nine. He was pretty good at ebonics, like "Ya Down Wit TPP?" He actually understood basketball, too, and could formulate some pretty good comments about players, and the game. He was an oldie, though, maybe even my age but at least 38. He knew a lot about the Blues and all the original and very good black dudes who lived it and sang it.

I'm not sure we, as humans, can really portray how big his mother is. We're just not quite capable of understanding how big that is.
I'm not sure I'm comfortable with all of the homophobia, anti-gay, and anti-retard filth that comes out of that sewer hole under your nose. Someone ought to report your ***.
Anyway, it's not my fault that Freakazoid, a.k.a. Hard Working Harpring, is one of my biggest fans. It's weird, but I roll with it.

There's no such thing as losing an argument in JF. For several reasons, including the tautological nature of science defined by "peer review" validation by politically-dependent "scientists" who receive chair endowments from the same corporate interests that staff the government science agencies with their dependable people.
At best, if someone does understand what you say in JF, it's either because they are as ignorant as you are, or as smart as you are. In either case, often, they can't understand what you said anyway.
I liked it better when there was the whole progressive sort of rep race. When it comes to rep, I'm a true "racist", and I agree with PKM even if I'll never catch up in rep power or total rep points, or total post count. It's the rep race that matters, the rep race is all that matters.
I like it best when rep matters, too, though. Then, it's tautological. And redundant, too.
