I'll bet a lot have people have moved on this since the poll was taken last now that we know what the outcomes were. I suspect that Cleveland would pull the trigger on this in a second now because they manage to squeeze extra value out of Wiggins before surrendering a "young potential" player for Love. I also think Jazz fanz aren't seeing the space between Exum and Wiggins that would justify sacrificing Favors and Burks.

DL said that the Favors Plus rumors were bogus...

So... nothing to see there...

In spite of that, I would love to have Wiggins if the price were right. I would do any combo of 3/4 of the following 1st round Pick, Trey, Kanter, and Burks for Wiggins. It aint happening, but it would be a good trade for us.

I never would have traded 5, Favors and Burks. 5 and Favors for Wiggins? Yes. Exum and Favors for Wiggins? Yes.

I would not do the deal before we drafted Exum, why would I do it now.

Exactly. I wasn't big on any deal that would have included Favors and Burks. Now that we've seen how the draft played out and how good Exum has looked so far. . . no way in hell I make that trade.

I don't believe DL. I'm pretty sure that Favors was the point of the trade for Cleveland so no other assortment was going to get it done. Favors would have looked real nice on Cleveland's roster and one of Burks or Waiters could be going back with Exum to sweeten the deal for Love. I'll bet Minnesota would actually trade US Love for Burks and Exum right now (Love signing is a different matter.) Now the only asset Cleveland has that the Timberpups would want is Wiggins, and that is a long term overpay for Cleveland. Glad it worked out for us and not for them.

I'm in the minority, I would still do it. I don't see anyone on the Jazz roster with superstar potential. Wiggins will be special.

I would not.

Now, if it was Gordon who fell to us I'd do it, but since we got Exum hell to the no.

Wouldn't even trade Dante for Wiggins straight up

I think Dante is on equal footing with Wiggins and Parker in terms of potential. I think Exum has gone from being a mystery to us seeing why draft experts had him in Tier 1.

I DO think the trade offer was valid. There were just too many specifics about the back-and-forth that came out for it to have been a fabrication (i.e. the Jazz offering Favors, the 5 and the 23, Cleveland countering with the demand for next year's unprotected and the Jazz allegedly offering Burks instead). Had we given up that much and then watched Exum be available at #5 and Hood at #23? I mean, we would have been THRILLED to have Wiggins, but what a steep price!

AS it is, I think the team is MUCH better off. I think Utah has starters at the 1-2-3 in Exum, Burks and Hayward. Hood can be a rotation player, IMO. Burke may/may not be a backup; I think it more likely he's traded once Dante takes over as the starting PG. Jazz have two good players at the 5 in Favors and Gobert. Just need to determine if Kanter is a fit at PF. Then DL just keeps an open mind in terms of trading assets for upgrades.

The problem is, when this trade was supposedly proposed we didn't know that Exum would fall to 5. I doubt the FO would do the trade if they knew Exum would be available at 5. And to answer the question - I didn't like the idea of giving up that much for Wiggins back then, and I like it even less now.

As a follow-up, I've seen nothing from Wiggins to indicate he WON'T be special. Parker had a solid first half in game #1 but has been underwhelming since then. Exum isn't going to score enough to get ROY consideration, but I do think there isn't that much of a divide potential-wise between all three. But don't give that ROY to Parker or Wiggins just yet. Noel has a very good chance of nabbing it, IMO.
