Right the rematch will be huge - and then no one will care anymore.

Women's MMA is a sideshow that survived on the premise that Rousey was a "once in a forever athlete" as Dana White put it - and as we all saw Saturday night, that's not the case.

The long term prospects for women's MMA are bleak - as they always were. It just happened sooner rather than later.

Don't think I've ever seen an interview from a professional athlete with such sincerity and humility. How can you not root for her? If you listen to her demeanor and didn't know what sport she competed in you'd probably make about 20 guesses before MMA.
