Yup not even close. Disappointing to see, for me at least, was that Favors is on that chart in the lower right. Hopefully he move towards the upper left corner now that he is back.

Interesting to see a former DPOY in Gasol and AD who has a rep as a great rim protector (mistakenly so IMO) pulling up the rear.

I am not a violent man, but this is why I want to punch those "Hassan Whiteside is a better player than Rudy Gobert" people from RealGM straight in the neck. The NBA needs to do a better job promoting Gobert. I suspect dominating in the playoffs (which he will do) will help.

God damn, I wish Lindsey&co. would have had the sense to draft Giannis. I'd feel absolutely certain that we'd be title contenders if we'd have done so.

We got so ****ing lucky when we drafted Rudy.
And that the nuggets are dumb.
Stockton and Malone in the teens was luck. Gobert at 27 is miraculous.
Correction. Drafting Stockton and Malone, all time leader in assists and second all time in scoring, two all time greats back to back in the teens was astronomical.

Wasn't this draft considered to be weak leading up to the draft? It could've been an all time haul for the Jazz. They passed on Gainnis and CJ so they could draft Burke who was projected to go as high as 4th. It was like the basketball gods tried to keep things even with us. Get Rudy, but pass on two Allstar caliber players for Burke.

Yeah I think about this a lot. Giannis. Hood, Hayward, favors and gobert on the floor together would have been awesome.

I agree. But at 27, Gobert represents more than two times the number of teams that passed on Malone, and almost double that of Stockton. When you compare the talent available in the three drafts, Gobert's pick becomes even more astronomical.

He isn't really back though, still looks like he is about 45%. I wish they would just keep him out until he is fully healed. He looks very stiff and out of sync, and not just playing himself back into sync but that he is fighting through some level of pain. Let the guy heal and bring him back when he is closer to 90% than 50%.

Fixed

There's still idiots who think Gobert should be ranked 10th or lower.

It is actually a good touchstone to separate knowledgeable fans from the riff-raff there. You can be certain that people overlooking Gobert have never seen a Jazz game. That's OK, I don't follow the Wizards, but I also don't disrespect their players.

Nuggets drafted him and traded him to us though, so they are the ones getting singled out.

My main beef with basketball fans in general is that if their team gets - let's say - a low-post scorer, then "low-post scoring is the most indispensable aspect of a winning team", but if all of the sudden their low-post scorer leaves their team via free agency and that team drafts a rim-defender, then, all of the sudden, rim-defending becomes "the most indispensable aspect of a winning team"...
