I'm actually interested in how it plays out if RW decides to play for the Jazz. Let him play, and if it turns out sour let him sit out the rest. There aren't that many games left anyway.
No need to be offensive, I still read these threads. Are you trying to force me onto the WB side of this discussion, because I’ll do it after this slander. Spaz does not equal losing. Take it back. This is the dumbest question ever, of course we don’t want him here. We don’t want wins, yes he’s a spaz and will help lose some games, but he will win us games too. And then there’s the chemistry **** as well. There’s no ****ing reason to even have this convo.
I can’t vote because I want to vote for the last two options and can’t, so put me down for those two.
No damnit!! He’s the spaziest spaz there ever was. LeBron James cosigned. No need to be offensive, I still read these threads. Are you trying to force me onto the WB side of this discussion, because I’ll do it after this slander. Spaz does not equal losing. Take it back.
Well then… I hope he plays, gets triple doubles the rest of the season, is a model citizen, repairs his reputation, we make the playoffs and lose in the first round and miss out on the wemby sweepstakes and live in mediocrity for the next 10 years… know it will all be your fault for doubling down and not taking it back.No damnit!! What is this? Beetlejuice? Say his name three times and he shows up?Westbrook, come out to plaaaay! Westbrook, come out to playaaaay! Westbroooook….
The Jazz don't owe $47 million. An NBA player gets paid twice a month, so a a lot of the contract has already been paid. I don't remember the exact amount owed but it is in the $16-20 million rangeI don't think they can "bribe" us with a second rounder. At this point, especially since the deadline has passed. I do think that if Westbrook was desperate enough the buyout could come in at a much lower number, say $35-$40 million, as opposed to the full $47-$48 million
Yeah, Jazz owe him $16mm. I'm not sure how much they could get it down with a buyout, maybe down a couple million. I just want to see young guys get experience at this point. The Jazz don't owe $47 million. An NBA player gets paid twice a month, so a a lot of the contract has already been paid. I just want a decision made right away. "Pooh or get off the pot."
Like most everybody else, I’m ambivalent about this. I read articles about how he wasn’t particularly well liked in L.A. for his demeanor on and off the court. The last straw was apparently his refusal to get off the court when subbed out on Lebron’s record all time scoring title game. Woj reported that this culminated in a shouting match afterwards between he and Darvin Ham, making his trade status clear.

According to what I’ve read, the ball is in Westy’s court and he’s weighing his options, one of which is apparently playing for the Jazz the remainder of the season. In my view, we run two risks giving him this option (to play for us), 1) he poisons the waters with his haughty attitude, and/or 2) we sabotage our chance of being in the lottery drawing.
Make no mistake about it Jazz fans, Westy has been playing at a high level this season and was actually in the running for Sixth Man of Year. Sure he shoots a poor % from three, but this guy hasn’t lost much athletically and could still be a triple double threat in a starting role. In my opinion, he plays for us and kiss any hopes of a lottery pick this year away cause we goin to the playoffs.
And fty, he won’t be back next season. Seems like poison pill to me.

Yeah but that’s a lot of dough, cause he ain’t giving no discounts. I mean that’s the present dilemma imo, if we could buy him out on the cheap, no doubt we would I believe.Hmm..
Paolo has struggled lately.. so with Westbrook in the fold we have a theoretical chance to get MIP, ROY and SMOTY in the same year lol.
Tbf, if he turned toxic at all it would just result in immediate buyout... and the end of his own career.
Oh bother.I just want a decision made right away. "Pooh or get off the pot."
