I think all teams get a longer break this year. I doubt the NBA would make the two teams shorten their time off. There really isn't a good fit for Utah to make up the game. They have a couple of EC trips left, but WAS is either playing elsewhere, or ir makes one of the teams play 3 or 4 nights in a row. I'll bet the NBA has proposed a couple of options and Utah gets to choose, picking the lesser of all evils.

They'd stil have a ton of time off by having that as their only game in like nine or ten days.

If Burks and favors are both healthy then I think playing Washington with us at full strength and back to back to back is better than playing Washington without Burks and favors and it being tonight which was a back to back

Choice is to shorten time off from 9 to 7 days versus brutal road back-to-back-to-back.


Many players don't get 9 days off anyway with the AllStar break, so to me it is an easy choice. You are just cutting into the luxury of extended break.
