Oh jeez. Don't get on your high horse here. You would rather have been Utah for the last 10 years, going to the playoffs every year, than San Antonio? Would you call San Antonio a bunch of losers? Or did they cheat? Nope. They saw the system, and they took advantage of it.
My point is this. The Jazz are at a critical time in their history. We have some outstanding talent and a couple may, MAY turn out to be special. They may not. We will not be good this year. Why not sit Jefferson and Millsap, get the young 'uns some valuable experience, teach them some important lessons, and LOSE, then draft a Jordan or Kobe or Durant or Rose and be title contenders for the next ten years.
Or we can "win the right way" and be the same old Jazz team we have been since the late eighties. First or second round exits, with a lucky run every 10 years or so. No thanks.
p.s. I bet you think Tebow is a great QB as well. Just make sure you remember what Jesus told him: "Mormonism, it's all true. Every word of it."
Not gonna go into my religous beleifs but I am not LDS nor a fan of any religion. To have values and beliefs does not make one a religous freak it makes one principled.
Your reasononing is flawed - there is no guarantee that by imntentionally losing games it will get us to the promised land. Take for example the Clippers, how many first rounders and "can't miss" players have they had over the last twenty years? How'd that work for them? The jazz are always at a critical time in their history. I beleive they will make the principled decision, they owe it to the paying spectators, the other NBA teams, all Jazz fans and their players.
P.S. I hate the Broncos and I think Tebow is a third rate QB with a hell of a marketing team/brand.
