I know this is not Jazz news but this is sad!
Hit from behind by some car driver while riding his bike near his home.
Reportedly paralyzed. Had cervical spinal fusion so presumably quadriplegia, which is sad.
ETA: I’m reading paraplegia.

Yikes that is terrible. I have a spinal fusion from C6 to T2, and I live in pain every day, and have for the past 20 years, but luckily I did not lose too much mobility. I hope he gets some of his mobility back.

Terrible.. we just built his home and I had no idea. Great guy.
Is it really that big of a shocker when you see people crash into big noticeable cars every day as well?

Sad news.
I remember seeing years ago that his bike was stolen. A custom, almost clown-like tall bike. Who would want to steal that! Sounds like he replaced it and really liked to ride.
Just sucks.

My point is that it isn't a shocker at all. In this day and age with phones drivers are more distracted than ever.
Horrible news. On another note, even sitting in his chair he’ll still be taller than half the world’s population.

The St. George area has the worst drivers in the country.

I am going to make my plea...
Please do not drive distracted. The girl that killed my wife was texting and rear ended her. I would not be surprised to find out the person that hit Shawn was distracted.
