Silent Retreat/Prayer intentions.

Your school has a monastery? The best Christians books are easily the ones written by monastics. I could never be a monastic, but I'll be damned if those guys aren't near at the top of the holy chain of all of us sinners. I'm just thankful that some people go that route and then write about it so cretins like me can read their works. They get God. At least the legit ones.

Mount Angel Seminary is run by Mount Angel Abbey (which is a community of Benedictine monks). Utah and most of the Dioceses west of Utah send their seminarians in part to Mount Angel (There are two other major seminaries in California). I'm finishing up my fourth (and possibly final) year at Mount Angel Seminary and I have learned quite a bit from the "holy monks on the hill," however, I agree with you, Duck, I could never be monastic :) . I do respect them, but I prefer the spiritual life found in the local parishes.

Since you're going to pray for everyone and their dog during your reflective sessions, I prayed for you to get to watch the Notre Dame game tonight. So when you get back, please let me know how much pull our combo prayers have with God on the matter.

That is cool Whisky. Enjoy the time on reflection and whatever you feel you need to meditate/think on.

Also Mount Angel is in a set of books I have been reading. Good place to be, you guys survive the apocalypse.
