Dude has been great lately and is transforming himself into a legitimate NBA rotation player.

The biggest change from him lately is he is driving it way way more. He isn't forcing tough motion 3's as much anymore and is using the respect opponents have for him to get into the lane and make things happen.

His defense has also been a game changer. He's not amazing or anything, but he's just a very solid big body. He also has incredibly underrated athleticism. He's had some dunks out of the dunker spot where he elevates very effortlessly for above the rim finishes.

The Jazz should definitely not trade him. He's a future piece. Quality wings with his size and shooting are the most valuable commodity in teh NBA. No reason to sell at this point when he can probably continue to get better and the Jazz have his restricted rights in free agency.

I was super high on Tech last year and upset I wrote him off. It almost always take the Euro league guys a year to acclimate even if they are older.

I think they can lock him up fairly cheap and should do so. I wouldn't just sell him off for a second or two.

He has the been the best player on the team outside of lauri.

Only thing I can even nitpick is that he misses open teammates a bit too often (missed a wide open Ochai in the corner last night in order to attempt and miss an extremely difficult shot)

But his rebounding is better than expected, his shooting is amazing, his scoring (driving) is great, his defense is good

Great great season from him.

Agreed he is a legit NBA player. Similar to Lauri Simone showed us his potential during international play while leading the Italian team. We should definitely hold on to him.

Simone Fontecchio is a player of fortitude and substance, although in terms of profile he looks much like the character Simple Jack who looms over tales of warfare in the colonies. He can throw the ball into the goal from far away, and surprises the Trailing Blazers in Portland with his astute play.

I doubt he's going to get a huge offer, but I would easily pay him between 10-12 million per year.

His recent play is about in line with what a DeAndre Hunter does typically, and he's making 20+

I think 6-8M per year (assuming he doesn't fall off a cliff) is fair and something that he'd accept. 3/21M I think is what I'd target.

His rough year last year was likely due to a combination of the huge adjustment to the NBA as well as being miscast as an off the bench gunner. It's really incredible how much better he is playing this year.

That said, I'm not sure he's someone I'm interested in locking up long term unless it's on a team friendly deal.

You could see he was a decent player last year. But he struggled with trying to figure out the system and the style. He got lost in defense a bit and over thought on offense. Glad things are clicking now. He's a legit rotation player and still has some upside despite his age.

In that camp as well when he was just a catch and shoot 3 pt specialist last season. Actually dumbstruck right now at his development but also the recent development of the supposed incorrigibles Sexton and THT. Waiting for the Hardy Appreciation thread to express my regret for doubting him and his methods.

It's weird when I watch Simone I dont even think he's that good a shooter, but he's over 40% this season. He has some of the worst misses for someone who is a good shooter.

True but you have to factor in the quick release as well right? He’s just such a complete player right now including his D. Sometimes I think he’s just as good if not better than Lauri.
