What to look for

Does the tank continue?

Before the news that they would be locked into the 6th seed, Utah had already announced they’d be resting Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley.

Mike Conley and Rudy Gobert out tomorrow. Emmanuel Mudiay questionable.

Before last night the Jazz had incentive to lose for playoff seeding, but there’s another incentive to lose this game as well, the draft.

Short version for the Jazz draft pick:

If they lose tomorrow, they get the 20th pick outright.

If they win (they no longer need to lose for playoff seeding purposes), they will be slotted somewhere between 20th & 23rd.

A loss ensures a better spot in the draft for the Jazz. Considering the Jazz are without one of their best scorers in Bojan Bogdanovic, this another reason to rest the regular rotation guys.

On top of that, the Jazz want to make sure they are as healthy as possible entering the playoffs against the Nuggets so don’t be surprised if we see a lot of Ed Davis and the young players in the second half.
