So Which Win was more impressive?

How people are more impressed by this win boggles my mind. We were down 8, with 30 seconds when Millsap shot, and we came back to win. How can any game be more impressive than that? Wow, 24 hours later people are already forgetting about one of the most impressive games in the history of the Jazz and the NBA.

Because I am not impressed with luck as much as just beating down one of the best teams in the league for the final quarter and a half. I can see why you could be more impressed by the Miami win if your just looking for the drama of it. But the play of the team was far more impressive in the Orlando game.

Miami win is more "impressive" given the circumstance... But this win was more important. D-Will absolutely took over. He's had some flashes early this season, but hasn't fully gone into beast mode. He did in the fourth quarter tonight against Orlando. Hopefully we start rolling!!

Impressive is such a subjective word.

Miami was certainly an impressive win because of how it ended. However, I think this game was more impressive because it was on the second night of a back-to-back and I fully expected Utah to come out and play exhausted tonight. They didn't. They stayed with the Magic throughout the first half, fell behind in the third and then dominated the fourth quarter. To do that on the road against a team I believe is actually better than Miami is pretty damn impressive in its own right. Not to mention they did this all a night after coming back from 20 on the road and winning in overtime.

I think this game was more impressive. 1st off I think Orlando is the better team. 2nd off it took a lot of luck to pull out the win vs Miami. In this game they were down 18 points in the 3rd quarter and won by 10 out scoring them by 28 from that point on.

I'll add this. This was by far the best coaching job by Sloan I have seen in a while. Going to the zone and sticking with it was a stroke of genius. It completely changed the way this game was played.

Orlando missed some key shots and a ton of FT's. Miami missed FT's but Wade was hitting all his shots. So "luck" played a part in both games. I just don't think Orlando responded as well as Miami did.

But why argue? Both games were FANtastic. And you make a very good point re: use of the zone by Sloan. Seems that old dog had a few new tricks up his sleeve tonight.

I'll agree to disagree. The Miami game is as impressive as they will ever come. Tonight's game was very impressive, but not nearly as impressive as "the Miracle in Miami".

I guess the difference is how we come to the conclusion to what "impressive" is. Doesn't change the fact that the Jazz came back from big deficits against two of the top teams in the league.

Both were impressive and for different reasons, but the Miami game was one that happens once in a decade. That they won the second though after being down by 18 in the third quarter when they looked as if they had nothing left, was probably even more improbable.

The Miami game was more exciting and satisfying, but the magic game was more impressive. The guys showed more toughness tonight than in the entire boozer era combined. Second night of a back to back coming off a tough game, you could tell Dwill was tired but he willed us to this win. I also like how Al dominated Howard at the end. That said, the Miami game has a much greater chance to be game of the year due to the drama and incredible shots.

I guess it all depends on your definition of "impressive." We had to have a lot of things go our way to win that Miami game, tonight we completely outclassed a very good orlando team the last quarter and a half.

I'm of the opinion that the Heat are too overhyped. Take that and the fact that the Orlando game was on the 2nd night of a back-to-back AND we came down from that awful deficit and my vote is with the Orlando game.

Maybe they're too overhyped...

But I still think they're playing jsut about the way everyone expected.

Lebron and Wade do everything, Bosh casts away, and everyone else on their team sucking.

I think a real weakness in their team showed up in OT. Whose team is it? If Lebron was w/Cleveland, we all know that Lebron would have taken all those shots. If Wade was alone, Wade would have dribbled out the shot clock trying to draw fouls. Bosh in Toronto? He would have jacked up shots trying to go one on one with Millsap.

Instead, the Heat really kinda struggled to look for their leader. It's still Wade's team... Sorta... But you can tell that when crunch time comes they're confused as to who's going to be their G2 man. I remember once Lebron was trying to go one on one while Wade was calling for the ball in the corner (close to where he hit the 3 to tie the game).

Right now Lebron and Wade were pretty quiet about touches. But lets see come May/June if they're both quiet against Orlando or Boston once Wade misses a few shots that Lebron feels he should have had.

But my question is, what will their lineup be? Miller is a SF, so they'll need to either bench Bosh or Lebron, or live with Wade/Lebron playing their PG thus leaving themselves horribly vulnerable to dominate PGs.

How would Lebron running the point make them vulnerable? He is the best passer and dribbler on that team, imo he SHOULD be playing pg for them. He would make everyone else better, while Wade would handle most of the scoring load. I really think Lebron would make a GREAT pg.

I think the Miami win was more exciting but to come back from 18 down in the 3rd on the second night of a back to back on the road and win handily is more impressive overall. Especially when you consider the Miami game went to overtime as well so the Jazz's legs were probably feeling pretty heavy tonight. Both high quality wins, hopefully the team is not satisfied and comes out and gets another win in Atlanta.

Ok let me rephrase my thought then- I'm more encouraged by the Orlando game because in past years the Jazz would've just been satisfied with the result of the night before and accepted the loss. The Miami win was more improbable/impressive, but the Orlando win has me more excited because it shows how much we want it this year, which we haven't had in the past.

I vote the Miami game, because they're thought to be No. 2 in the league with the "three big egos" (forgot who coined this phrase). And it was incredible shooting in the last seconds of the game. Amazing!

Great Points on the Orlando game being what it was very impressive and what we really look for from the team. But as for fantastic, amazing, unbelivable? The Miami game wins hands down.

I wonder how many people actually watched the Miami game. I watched the second half of the Orlando game and I was no where near excited as I was last night. Was tonight's game impressive? Yes. Back to backs don't get any tougher than tonight's. With that said, the Miami game was way more improbable and impressive. To me, it's not even close. Games like the Miami one will happen very, very rarely. Games like tonight's will happen a few times a year.
