Some key dates for 2018

Are the games against Australia considered preseason NBA global games? Could media day be as early as the 21st for the Jazz? Edit: Maybe not. Probably is only for teams traveling to China.

time has stopped entirely

No basketball.
I have my worst busy season until about October 15th.
I have my four kids alone for the next 9 days while my wife is in Europe with her mom and sisters.
I have no in-laws to help... so no safety net.

It is truly dark times.

Pretty much.

But Saturday is the first day of September. And stuff starts happening in September. Late September but still September.
The first preseason game is one month from today.
And media day is somewhere between 23-26 days away.

I just need to take a long nap between now and then.
One month...

one month....

Anyone else having Jazz dreams? Once a week or so I'll dream about a game.

29 Days until the preseason home opener against the Perth Wildcats.

3 Jazz player have averaged 29 or more points per game in a season.

Pete Maravich in 1976-77 (team high of 31.1 ppg)
Adrian Dantley in 81, 82, 83, 84, and 86
Karl Malone in 89, 90, and 91

Karl Malone's last season with teh Jazz was the Franchise's 29th season.

Last season The Jazz had a player score 29 or more in 18 regular season games.
Donovan Mitchell did it 9 times, Ricky Rubio did it 5 times, and Rodney Hood did it 4 times.

Mitchell was the only Jazz player to score more than 29 in the playoffs, he did it twice against OKC scoring 33 in game 4 and 38 points to close the series in game 6.

Rudy Gobert has scored more than 29 points just one time so far in his Jazz career.

No Jazz player has ever worn the #29.

Oh, this is a fun tradition. Looking forward to more.

PS--it seems incredible that Mitchell was even BETTER in the post-season than the pre-season. We had to wait 7 years to find out if Haywood could perform in the post-season (and he acquitted himself well, I think). Mitchell did it his rookie year.

What's your job?

That blows. I'll be alone on weekdays all evening long with three kids ages 0, 2, and 4 from January-April. I'll probably exit at some point in a bodybag.

Just one month to go eh? Can't wait? How's about you take some Wait Mate Pills and... walla!

Just don't do what Eric did...

Or you may need to meet Zan...

Media day is September 24th. Team photo shoot within the next two weeks. Most of the guys are in town already. Ingles is probably on his way over the weekend. Labor Day weekend is the unofficial weekend most teams start getting things back together.

Rudy and Neto flew down to Lake Powell this week. Instagram posts.

20 days until media day
Utah Jazz all time great Quincy Lewis wore #20. So did Bobby Hansen. Some guy named Hayward did too.
Donovan Mitchell had 46 20+ point games in the regular season.

21 days until training camp.
Tibor Pleiss with unreal shooting mechanics wore #21.

That's all I can come up with. I'm apparently really bad at this.
