What's new

Stan Van gundy on Gordon Hayward...

That he has a nice shooting form and quick release...an above average jump shooter. Some games he seems unstoppable (like against OKC) and you think ¨wow, he can really shoot the ball". Then he goes on those shooting slumps where he looks lost, trying to do too much and taking bad shots... like being uncomfortable in his current role and Ty's offense. He will probably benefit by having a more competent scorer next to him and of course, a new coach.

Yes it the coach fault the reason his shot is going in and why he goes on shooting slumps. LMAO..Always blame the coach in Jazz land.Clueless

It is the coach's fault for allowing him to play out of control and for tolerating him chucking up shot after shot. Restrict his offense, call some plays for others to be the ball-handler. Use the offense to give Gordon some easy shots. Pretty simple to determine where Gordon's "hot zone(s)" is/are. So use plays that put him there to shoot. Instead, Ty stands by his theory that shooters should shoot their way out of slumps. And that leads to the 3-17 games. Talk to a few other "experts" and they believe the best way to break out of a slump is to get a few easy baskets.

Well, Ty and Gordon have tried the "keep shooting" approach. It's not been all that effective for Hayward. Maybe it's time to try something different.

Open shots go in a lot more then contested shots. Ty's offense doesn't get Hayward many open shots, he's expected to create his own shot as a #1 option. So yes the coach effects his jump shot.

Nice try troll

Did you see the end of the game against the Warriors? If you did then you might have a clue

Thats a perfect example of what Core4 is saying. Ty putting the ball in Hayward's hands to create some offense when he was clearly struggling. And thats been happening all year. Hayward is not ready for that role and Ty keep using him wrong instead on relying in other players

You should also watch some San Antonio games to understand how important a good offense is. It maximizes the player strengths by creating open shots and getting the ball where a player can be more effective.

sometimes its nice to log in just to neg this guy. he is consistently the worst poster here. the funny thing is on occasion his opinions aren't that bad, but he is always a dick.

Weird. I didn't even know either of you existed. But it's neat you two have beef.

The latin jazz vs Wham! beef is epic

**** SVG. He is as much of a bitch as Howard.

And the Hayward Homers react. Rather than dispute anything he said it's just easier to name call.

Why do certain players have so many homers? Andrei Hayward is so beloved and I don't know why. Is it because he looks Mormon? Burks doesn't have near the fan fare even though he's the superior player.

By turning down a $10 million dollar contract, my personal view is Gordon is worth about 7-8 million.

Is it really that bad as a player to want to prove that you are worth more? This is what this year is for, for him to prove that he's worth more. We'll see how to rolls out.

All we need is to hear Hayward has gotten married, then gone to a strip club while his pregnant wife is home alone. That ought to turn the tide of public opinion.
