G League stats definitely matter. You don't want to just find the best volume scorer, but guys who can make stuff happen in the gLeague are better than guys who can't.

Niang was a God in the GLeague. His stats mattered.

Ochai out up mediocre GLeague stats. He's kind of mediocre as a player.

Eh, good play is always better than bad play in any format. Its ok to acknowledge when a player plays good even though that probably goes against everything to you.

It's nice when you play well in whatever context you're playing in. But when it's the G-League, it just doesn't mean anything with regard to NBA performance. The talent gap is massive.

Did someone say his g league play means everything in regard to nba performance or that the talent gap is miniscule?

He (Ochai) just needs to find that dawg and channel it, he’s got the requisite talent and athleticism imo.
 
The Stars waived CJ Elleby and Chris Smith yesterday to get their roster down to ten plus the two rookies and the three two way guys. Elleby was a second round pick of the Blazers and averaged 5.9 ppg on a playoff team one season.
 
In the GLeague yesterday Juan Toscano Andersen had 24 points and Miye Oni had 7 in a head to head match up. Derrick Favors had 14 points 7 boards coming off the bench, Tony Bradley a DND/CD and David Stockton had 10 assists in Jazz alumni news.

Favors is in the G league? That’s kinda sad, wish he’d just hang it up.
