I don't disagree. They will try to run the ball and hold onto the ball like everyone does (of course you want mahomes on the sideline) and then really in the second quarter they will abandon that gameplan and start airing it out.
Should be a fun game.

I'm a fair-weather Niners fan. I tuned in this year when they were 6-0. Niners need to control the line of scrimmage and establish a balanced attack. If they do that, they should win. Mahomes will make big plays. I just don't think it will be enough to win.

Niners 34-27, but it could be an even bigger margin than that if the Chiefs' defense can't keep up with the Niners' varied run game.
 
Is the Superbowl still a thing? Btw, I'm cooking ribs right now. 6 hours on the smoker.

mid they run like they have vs the Vikings and Packers, that won’t be the case because they score td’s off of their run game.

never mind the 49ers defense, lets just put that aside though it has a lot to do with why SF is winning this game. People have gotten lost in this narrative that the Chiefs offense is elite. They were third in points scored during the season, there’s just one problem... the 49ers were second during the season, and boat an elite defense. People ask how the 49ers will stop the chiefs when they should be asking how the chiefs gonna stop the 49ers and Kyle Shanahan’s offense.

I’m not going to say that the 49ers defense is going to stop Mahomes and the chiefs, they’ll get their numbers and yards, but they won’t be easy yards and points, and on the flip side the 49ers yards and points will be easier for them to get.

this is why the 49ers win, like the chiefs the 49ers have weapons all over the field, hell the chiefs even have to worry about the FB Kyle Juszczyk. Even though the 49ers have been overlooked and not given the credit they’ve earned they’ve proven they can score running and passing. Maybe just maybe they will finally force the respect they deserve out of all you idiots out their

my heart says Jimmy G wins mvp, my head says Mostert wins mvp. I just don’t see the chiefs being able to out scheme Shanahan’s run game. This isn’t the Titans run game. Or the titans offense. The 49ers have the offense to stay with the chiefs, to give them the ability to run all game long, and with that said, my guarantee is Mostert will have 150-200 yards somewhere in there with 2 td’s, being Super Bowl LIV MVP!!

I agree the narrative has been mostly "Chiefs' offense vs. Niners' defense," and it's easier for the networks to hype the game to the casual fan by talking about Mahomes. So the Niners' offense has been getting overlooked a bit. The Niners have been putting up 30+ points against middling defenses all season, and they should do the same today. They moved the ball well on Minnesota and Seattle, and those are higher-rated defenses than KC. Whether the game is close depends on how well KC slows the Niners' run game.

Just because the Niners ran over the Packers doesn't mean Jimmy can't throw for 250+ yards.

It's not just causal fans that get hyped for this game because of mahomes. Everyone gets excited to see the chiefs offense play. Hard core fans and casual fan alike.
