My guess is that it will further divide the country. If the Feds can force us to buy HC now, what can't they force us to buy?

If I understand correctly, Roberts didn't vote for the law under the ability for the government to fine you if you don't buy it, but as a right to tax that congress clearly has, even though the Dems have been claiming it's not a tax the entire time.

I still haven't heard why the right suddenly turned against their own baby. The Heritage Foundation helped to create the Individual Mandate idea and repubs like Orrin Hatch supported it. Now... It was touted as being a measure to control costs (something repubs used to talk about all the time)....


Now....

All of a sudden.... It became unconstitutional to them? It doesn't control costs? Why?

They are politicians. W hat changed is the attitude of their constituents. Politicians change with the winds to stay alive. They support it now and it is political suicide.

We're all Wall Street's bitches now. They are the only ones who benefit from this ruling. It's not that they're forcing us to pay for other's HC, it's that I must now line the pockets that much heavier of the health insurance firms and Wall Street banks that own them.
