Teams that could be terrible next year

Aside from Utah, who will likely go bottom fishing, the Brooklyn Nets look terrible. Go ahead and add them to the sub 20-win club.

Washington is a young team who has been drafting side-by-side with us the past few years. That seems likely to continue.

Who are other teams likely to be in the race to the bottom?

My basic tiers. I feel Utah is in a great spot. There are always surprise risers and fallers, but we have the inside track for the worst record in the West.

Tier 1: Surprised if they don't have top lottery odds:
Utah, Brooklyn

Tier 2: Probably still bad but a little friskier:
Washington, Charlotte

Tier 3: Non-playin teams that feel one injury away from contending for bottom:
Toronto, Chicago, New Orleans

Tier 4: Early blow up candidates:
Memphis, Phoenix, Sacramento, Miami, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia, Golden State

Tier 4: Lower tier playin/playoff teams that I don't see blowing it up:
San Antonio, Portland, Atlanta, Indiana (as of now), Dallas

It'll be interesting to watch. Currently, PHX's pick is owned by Memphis, which was somehow involved in the Desmond Bane trade with Orlando.

The tier 1 of teams that you can pencil in as horrible next year are the jazz, nets and wiz. They will all be terrible from the get go. The good news for us is that we play in the far more difficult conference.

As of now I don't have a tier 2 because I think there is a pretty large gap between those 3 teams when healthy and my tier 3 teams when healthy.

Tier 3 is absolutely loaded though with the suns, pelicans, hornets, celtics, kings, raptors and bulls. All of those teams are a few injuries away from going full tank. Hopefully we can build a large enough lead in the first month to lock in as the bottom team in the west.
