U.S. Senate Democrats get green light on $430 billion climate, drug bill
WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. Senate Democrats on Saturday were set to push ahead on a bill that would address key elements of President Joe Biden's agenda - tackling climate change, lowering the cost of energy and elderly people's medications and forcing some corporations and wealthy Americans to...
Oh no guys. The elderly might get cheaper health care, the air, water, and soil might get cleaner, they might close loopholes that the wealthy can use to avoid paying taxes, and inflation might come down because of this! They also might help those in peril due to drought and that really pisses me off! Im so freaking triggered! They are trying to destroy our country! But dont worry, not all is lost. Republicans have promised to do everything they can to stall or block the bill, with Senator Lindsey Graham on Friday calling the Democratic-backed legislation "this jihad they're on to tax and spend." Hopefully those republicans can keep medicine for elderly high, keep that inflation high, make the environment worse, let those dealing with drought be ****ed, and continue to allow the rich to get richer and not have to pay taxes. Thank you republicans for being there for us!
The legislation has $430 billion in new spending along with raising more than $740 billion in new revenues.
