What's new

The Jazz will sign Keith McLeod to training camp roster tomorrow.

Actually this seems more like a rebuilding move to me. Sign a cheap veteran at to a one year deal. Wait until more young talent becomes available and don't commit to anyone long term.
Agree. If Watson doesn't return, the Jazz will need a 3rd PG. And a short pre-season means a guy who knows the system would have a leg up. I guess Knight and Hart must have wanted too much money.

Now that we have Watson and Tinsley,.McLeod is only here for training camp.

They just need to make sure they can put 2 full teams against each other with enough subs at each position on both teams.

Now that we have Watson (and Tinsley) I'm not bothered by this McLeod signing. I was worried he had a chance to make the team, but it's clear now that he doesn't.

Wansnt it Watson who Coach used to bad mouth all the time? He'd compare Keiths numbers to Earls when Earl was starting back then?

I'm excited for that stat break downs. Show yourself coach!

John Crotty is fully recovered from his knee issues, and he knows the offense really well.
We could use him as well. How about we get 10 waste of spot point guards and give them a shot in camp.
One of them has got to stick.

I like what I'm seeing .. isn't obvious Jazz brass have bought into the 'tanking' idea? So obvious.

Who are we tanking for? You think they want a shot at Sullinger? Maybe tank so we get the #1 pick and take Zeller?
That would be epic.

My favorite is when Coach would try to pull out some stats to make it like McLeod was the better player than Deron. It was amazingly comical.

19-13. Or was it 13-9? I forget. Why can't we just bring back price, sign a couple guys who won't get any playing time, and just call it an offseason? Tomorrow we'll be graced with the news of Andrei coming back.

Yeah, we need someone to refresh our memories. The important thing is that the first number was higher.

this is good, I like the way they put it: he's earned a camp invite.

Agent Mark Termini told The Salt Lake Tribune on Thursday that former Utah guard Keith McLeod has earned an invitation to the Jazz's 2011-12 training camp.

Coach's posts were always so very well organized.

That, or they're bracing for soft ticket sales. I'm not sure which FA the Jazz should be pursuing though. This is clearly a building year and an opportunity to give the young players more time. Then a pick or two in the top 12 of this upcoming draft would be an additional reward.
