What's new

The next 9 game prediction thread.

If our 3s are dropping, we can beat anybody. If our 3s aren't dropping, we can't beat anybody.

That's the Jazz story, until Quin solves the Rubio-Favors-Gobert conundrum. In the meantime, enjoy the Mitchell show.

Yes, but there is a clear reason as to why they drop more than often. Our lineups, spacing and minutes. (Hint- Gobert.)

Hint - Gobert and Favors together.
Go back to the very first game Gobert came back. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Quin subbed Favs out after 3-4 mins in the 1st and the team started to play a LOT better. Then he goes back to Rubio-Favs-Gobert after half-time and the Jazz struggled in the beginning of the 3rd quarter.

While I have stated Gobert just doesn't look as aggressive as he did last season, I really think we need to see the 1 in, 4 out lineups with just Favs OR just Gobert as the only big. Right now, we've seen Favs play well in the 1/4 lineup, but Gobert has really only been in a 2/3, which Utah simply cannot play, especially with Rubio as the PG. Ricky has 1 good shooting game out of every 7 or 8.

Good post, dude.

David Locke made a claim that if we won 5 games in December we would make the playoffs. So far our record is 3-7 for the month. I think we get 2+ more wins this month. When we are shooting well we are really hard to beat. Hitting our open shots is pretty up and down for us though. Hopefully we are on a hot streak now!

Losing to Chicago and OKC wasnt the end of the world but I think the team really wishes they could have those games back. I do think we will beat OKC at least 1 of the 2 if not both. We blew them out in the first matchup and in crushed them in the second until the fatigue set in and we lost that game that we should have stole from the scheduled loss. We also always seem to beat Cleveland at home. Hopefully that keeps going.
