The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Hoop Collective is saying there are rumblings about the Raptors wanting to make a splash in the trade market to push the team forward.

It's funny how winning coaches have zero job security these days, but Danny Ainge's son has 100% job security.

What a s****y league.

This is Austin's fault? What a weird take. . .

I think a bigger deal is that players generally don't like Thibs and his meat grinder. For the first time in forever, that Knick job is really attractive., They are looking for an upgrade and will probably get it.

Ok, so players want to contend, but only if they don't have to work very hard for it?

I'm sure the Knicks will do even better when they bring in some nice doormat coach and let the inmates run the asylum.

It's not about willingness to work hard, it's about Thibs playing a short rotation very heavy minutes throughout the regular season.

What about bringing Thibs on as an assistant in charge of developing some semblance of a defense? I doubt he'd settle for an assistant job but who knows.
I would assume Thibs will get HC job within a year if he wants one. He is a culture setter and there are always teams in the NBA who want those guys.
