I think this means that the Wiz are trying to win more. They got an all star for two spare parts in the Home Depot hardware bin.

Or they just traded 28 PPG of fairly efficient veteran scoring for a player they injury manage the rest of the year. I think it all comes down to how much they play Trae this season, but they're on a similar situation as us and I can't really see them risking their pick in this draft

They need their young players to improve a lot and this could be a golden opportunity for both the Hawks and the Wiz. CJ McCollum is a former member of the Idaho Stampede so I should have a soft spot for him.

Pretty clear that Queen and Zion can't play together at all and the Pels are the worst team in the NBA until Zion gets hurt again.

This Trae Young trade is pretty interesting. Atlanta needed to move him and his salary. It didn't work out for them anymore, and there was mounting pressure to trade him. Now they have the cash to try to trade for AD, or to get another player or players who fit their system. Washington, on the other hand, has tons of cap space, got Trae cheap, and can now see how well he plays for them. If he plays well, great, but if not, they can let his contract expire at the end of next season. Not much risk there. And for us, my guess is that Trae makes the Wizards a better team, and they’ll have to pull some shenanigans if they want to keep their 8-protected pick.

Will not be hard to pull shenanigans since Trae had a significant knee injury already this year. They probably will and probably should just sit him.

Yeah, we’ll see how they handle it. But one thing is certain. They want to keep that pick and think they can do it with Trae on the team. What I’m hoping is that he will play enough so we can beat them in the tank race.

Christian Braun seems to be missing Jokic a lot more than Watson.

Watson basically in the same predicament as Black. Balled out right after their teams handed out a big extension to the guy right ahead of them(Suggs and Braun), making it hard for them to get paid unless they go elsewhere.
