His 3s started the fire. Also his defense has been solid even dived for the ball.
knicks is smaller but they hustle. Spurs relied too much on 3s.

That stuff is disgraceful when someone takes four steps to get to the basket against us, but when Keyonte just steamrolls over a defender and gets an and-one... fantastic!!

Don't get me wrong – I hate all the things in the video (as I've said before).
Just pointing out that those types of calls have benefited the Jazz as well this season, and you never hear any complaints in game threads when that happens. One of Keyonte's new weapons is the exact thing the video talks about: lowering your shoulder and just ramming into the defender's chest. Impossible to defend.
Keyonte still doesn't have any real wiggle in his ballhandling, so this type of officiating has been a godsend for him. His offensive leap is real, but the refs are helping him too. Same goes for Lauri – another "straight to the hoop" steamroller.

The straight line drive stuff pisses me off the most. The NBA even made it a point of emphasis to ensure that it's a foul on the defender. I don't like the traveling, carrying, moving screens etc....but at least the goal of those things is to score a basket. Like if you were in an empty gym with no refs, you may travel to score easier but you would not run straight into the chest of a defender. Running into the defender on purpose is not trying to put the ball in the hoop, but it's become the most effective way to drive.

Yeah, those pick and swaps we own could actually be quality. It wouldn't surprise me at all if we were the better team next year.
They could easily bounce back, the talent is there, just need to be healthy, but do they get antsy and try to make pivots?
They really should have moved on from Garland when he had value. Probably the same with Allen too and just tries to build something different. I would imagine would still have value to someone though
