What's new

The official countdown til Dragic thread.

This won't happen and I hope it doesn't. Dragic already said he plans to opt out after this year to become an unrestricted free agent. He also said he will quicky re-sign with the Suns (though who knows how true that is).

Either way, I don't want to trade anybody for a half season rental of Dragic. I think the Milwaukee Bucks traded Tobias Harris for half a season of JJ Redick, and I'm sure they regret that.

already took it over with my Burke thread bruh

Tbh, I kinda hate you for that. Who predicted that the Jazz would draft the Greek Freak? That's the guy I want as the official Jazzfanz prophet. What I wouldn't give for a core of Gobert, Favors, Antetokounmpo, Hayward and Exum right now. Jazz would be a damn tough team in 2-3 years and even more so if they could get something for Kanter and also sign Dragic (which is what they should try to do anyways.)

Not sure how I feel about paying a PG the max when there are so many quality PG's out there.

Normally, I'd agree with you, but I don't think that there's anyone out there that the Jazz could get who would bring what Dragic brings to the table. I think he'd be a perfect stabilizing influence to the lineup and I think that he'd be exact what Favors and Hayward need to elevate their game. Gobert isn't likely to be an offensive force, so the Jazz are in need of another scorer. If they move Kanter, they have just enough room to make one if addition. While it's possibly an overpay, I think that he could very well be worth acquiring. The Jazz are in good shape at pretty much every spot except PG. I think that Dragic could fill that void in a big way.

Probably better if we just draft Mudiay.
I like this idea alot.
I don't get too into the draft or college players this early in the year but the highlights I saw of him in one game made him my dude so far for the 2015 draft

What happens to Exum?

This, I'm not giving up on a 19 year old kid that shows tremendous speed and a fairly good shot. The handles and agresiveness will come by no doubt... He's got the work ethic. That's just freak with his forever drafting a high pick policy.

What happens to Exum?

I'm a firm believer in drafting BPA and then crossing that bridge when you come to it. I think Exum is 2 or 3 years away, but in the meantime we can find minutes for him between the 1/2. Either way, you have 2 valuable assets that can be traded if push comes to shove, but I don't see it becoming an issue for a year or two at the soonest. Show Treyd the door if need be.

Lol at you not giving up on stuff.

Prolly better than your give up on the rebuild after one year and trade Hayward for a draft pick policy, tbh.
