The ball drops are tonight and the Lakers lose their pick if it drops outside of the top 3. It's unlikely but it'd be great to laugh at! So here's to that! Plus Ball won't get to go to LA if that happens which makes it 100x better!

Could also influence Hayward depending where the C's get their pick

Just played the lotto in ESPN and the very first spin it had the Lakers drop to 4th and the Sixers get their pick.

Lonzo Ball went to the Suns.

Lakers are currently the 3rd pick so it is very probable that they drop to 4th.

I dunno, I kinda hope the Celtics get #1 or #2 and get either Fultz or Ball.... another ball handler to add to Isaiah.

That will really deter Hayward as he's effective when he has the ball in his hands (the way Quin has tailored to the offense to). I don't think Hayward's the kind of guy that likes running around the court waiting and waiting, and waiting for rookies (especially Ball) to pass to him.

Also I'd love Lavar Ball to bring all his drama to the Celtics... another thing that may deter Hayward from joining them.

Yeah OL, you have to be trolling. The Celtics landing a #1 pick is absolutely a deterrent.../facepalm

I really don't care if the Lakers keep their pick. They are no threat to us. I just want Boston to fall to 4 and Minnesota, Denver and New Orleans to not jump into the top 3.

They are little brother right now... harmless but it's still fun to trip them when they walk by.

I think Fultz is the biggest talent in this draft. If Boston gets him to they keep him and build for the future. If they get a lower pick do they look to go all in and get a win now piece to entice potential FAs? Not sure what is actually better for us.

The Lakers are always a threat to sign big FAs though, so their fortune could completely change in a single offseason. They also lose their 2019 pick if they lose this years, so it would be a serious blow to that team and the morale of their fans.

I don't care who jumps into the top 3, just so long as the Lakers take that size 13 boot to the nuts.
