The *OFFICIAL* Russia Is About To Invade Ukraine Thread

Trump made a speech yesterday in which he literally said, and i quote, “We will pass critical reforms making every executive branch employee fireable by the president of the United States. The deep state must and will be brought to heel."

He really wants what putin and north koreas leader have. Ultimate control. No checks and balances. Someone disagrees with him? You’re Fired! So constitutional.

On March 3, as Russian military forces bombed Ukrainian cities as part of Vladimir Putin’s illegal invasion of his neighbor, the Kremlin sent out talking points to state-friendly media outlets with a request: Use more Tucker Carlson.

“It is essential to use as much as possible fragments of broadcasts of the popular Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who sharply criticizes the actions of the United States [and] NATO, their negative role in unleashing the conflict in Ukraine, [and] the defiantly provocative behavior from the leadership of the Western countries and NATO towards the Russian Federation and towards President Putin, personally,” advises the 12-page document written in Russian. It sums up Carlson’s position: “Russia is only protecting its interests and security.” The memo includes a quote from Carlson: “And how would the US behave if such a situation developed in neighboring Mexico or Canada?”

The document—titled “For Media and Commentators (recommendations for coverage of events as of 03.03)”—was produced, according to its metadata, at a Russian government agency called the Department of Information and Telecommunications Support, which is part of the Russian security apparatus. It was provided to Mother Jones by a contributor to a national Russian media outlet who asked not to be identified. The source said memos like this one have been regularly sent by Putin’s administration to media organizations during the war. Independent media outlets in Russia have been forced to shut down since the start of the conflict.

Not trying to be facetious, but is there ever a legal invasion of your neighbor? Seems like an invasion would be illegal by its very nature. I mean if your neighbor invited you in, it wouldn't be an invasion, right?

I think there could be a case made for an invasion being legal according to international law. At least, that's what the US told ourselves when we invaded Iraq.

I'd love for the U.S. to charge into Ukraine and put the smack down on some Ruskie military ***. Trump, Biden, IDGAF. What I don't want is a nuclear war.

It is clear that with upwards of 85% of all Russian military ground forces in Ukraine that Russia is a paper tiger. 10% of U.S. military ground forces could wipe their *** with Russia. So this talk of WWIII is nonsense. Russia couldn't beat France and Germany with conventional forces.

The only thing stopping the world from doing what they did to Iraq after they invaded Kuwait is Russia's massive nuclear arsenal. That's it.

If Trump was the President Putin wouldn't have had to do this because Trump would have disbanded NATO and left the world a far far more dangerous place and Putin would have patted him on his stupid ****ing head like the lap dog he is.
You sound like an angry old man ranting from his rocking chair after listening to a bit of Toby Keith. I don't give a rats *** what they say, lets kill us some ****in Ruskies boys!

Jason would be wise to dish out bans to the 5 posters/trolls/assholes with the most posts in this thread. There are nothing but trolls left. #maketheforumsreadableagain

You've become so ****ing droll. Waiting to see the next nothing that you post. Do you even remember making interesting posts?

If you want droll then try re-reading this thread but pretending you've never been to this forum. I think I made it to page 23. There was a post on page 14 IIRC from @Al-O-Meter worth reading and maybe a couple others.

At the end of the day, I warned y'all what would happen if you kicked out Mr. World Peace and replaced him with a neo-con, and here we are. Crazy I was 100% correct once again. Biden voters are responsible for this mess.

I read several posts denying Trump's actions against Russia and writing off his incredible peace keeping efforts, which the neo-con quickly undid. Are people really this willingly oblivious? Russia was empowered under Obama. Russia behaved under Trump. Russia went ape **** under Biden.
