Top favorite bands currently or top 5 favorite all time?

There are several that I enjoy listening to now on a frequent basis but in 10 years probably won't remember them.

On the other hand there are bands that have been around forever that I rarely listen to but if I hear them on the radio I'm likely to turn them up and enjoy listening to them.

Which ever you perfer. The purpose of the thread was more or less to share/find good music.

Here are some of my favorite songs by each:

Built to Spill - Else (One of my favorite songs of all time) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQR_w0m99bQ

Built to Spill - Carry the Zero - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owNtZIn7L4A

Led Zeppelin - Fool in the Rain (One of my favorite Led Zeppelin songs) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2015S3A-lg

Tons of classic Led Zeppelin so I'll throw this in. Not my favorite, but nice for a late Saturday night:
Led Zeppelin - Tangerine - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54lamZeaWAo

Arcade Fire - Wake Up - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zdNdjF-htY

Arcade Fire - Sprawl ii (Possibly my favorite Arcade Fire song and one of my favorite songs of all time) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rH_7_XRfTMs

Modest Mouse - Spittin Venom (Love the music) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8rH80cBWjQ

Here's another Modest Mouse song that has a bit wider appeal than that last one and more calming:

Modest Mouse - Gravity Rides Everything - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8crIHgjG1_I

Ben Folds Five - Narcolepsy - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYkfdl5Wm5o

Ben Folds Five - Philosophy - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJhx6bizOCA

Has to be this:

Weezer
Journey
The Beatles
The Beach Boys
Blink 182

Just based on sheer volume of good songs that I like.

Any mention to the Dan!?!?!

Theres GOT to be some Steely Dan fans in da hau5.

....I'll support you on that one! "AJA" is a top 10 all time album for sure! Would Elton John and his band from early years be someone I could count? The Eagles would also have to be on my list. Couldn't go wrong with the Beach Boys. And finally...."Toad the Wet Sprocket" JUST KIDDING ON THAT LAST ONE!

You like The Beach Boys? Don't you know they are drug using thugs?

Top 5 meaning top 5 that I will probably listen to into my old age until death. Not the top 5 I'm listening to right now.

1. Modest Mouse
2. Jimi Hendrix
3. The Black Keys
4. Rage Against The Machine
5. Aesop Rock

Currently listening to

1. Japandroids
2. Dillinger Escape Plan
3. A$ap Rocky
4. Deftones
5. Johnny Cash

Death - all time favorite and no band will ever beat it. R.I.P Chuck.
Atheist
Sodom
Slayer
Mekong Delta
Honnorable mention goes to Dream Theater.

I'm taking Sinatra over Blink 182 now that I know "band" doesn't have to include multiple goons in the Jazzfanz rankings. Driving the Vegas strip at night with Sinatra blaring is never going to get old. Never.
